Affogato Pop-Up: Back for Seconds in Logan Square

This summer marked the second annual Affogato Pop-Up, hosted at our Logan Square studio in collaboration with our neighbors at Pretty Cool Ice Cream and Gaslight Coffee Roasters. What started as a simple idea, coffee and ice cream on a summer afternoon, has become one of our favorite ways to connect with friends, clients, and the local design community.

The event design leaned into nostalgia, with Lisa Frank–inspired rainbow graphics, iridescent bubbles, and a bubble machine that filled the studio with color and joy. Guests stopped by to try limited-edition Pretty Cool ice-cream-pop flavors like Donut & Coffee and Matcha, each paired with espresso from Gaslight. The afternoon mixed conversation, music, and the hum of summer in the neighborhood. Proof that good design and good company is always sweet.

All proceeds supported Center on Halsted, whose work strengthens connection and inclusivity across Chicago. Between En Masse, Pretty Cool, and Gaslight, we like to think of this event as a small triangle on the Logan Square map—three creative spots coming together for one bright, shared afternoon.
