“Bee-Spoke” A Spring Design Social
This spring’s En Masse Event Series brought us to Fellowshop, the coworking space for designers that we were proud to design ourselves in partnership with Studio Code. Created as a shared environment for collaboration and creativity, Fellowshop served as the perfect backdrop for Bee-Spoke—a spring gathering inspired by connection, craft, and community. The project, featured on our site as West Town Coworking, remains one of our favorite examples of how design can build connection.
The event opened up the space to friends, colleagues, and neighbors across Chicago’s design world. Guests moved between the interior lounge and the open-air patio, surrounded by light, greenery, and the hum of conversation. The setting—equal parts workspace and social hub—embodied what Fellowshop was designed for: a place where designers can both work and gather, blending productivity with play, and finding their hub of creative community in the process.
In partnership with MillerKnoll and IEC (Illinois Environmental Council), Bee-Spoke brought new life into the space for an evening that celebrated collaboration in its most natural form.
With IEC, a nonprofit dedicated to building sustainable, equitable futures—serving as the event’s partner, the night paired design celebration with meaningful purpose. Raffle proceeds supported IEC’s ongoing initiatives, reinforcing a shared belief that good design extends beyond the built environment.
